Video Producer
(Full Time)

We’re looking for a talented video producer to carry forward the QuakerSpeak project (see QuakerSpeak​.com and youtube​.com/​q​u​a​k​e​r​s​p​eak)

The video producer plans, creates, and arranges for distribution of video content to support Friends Publishing Corporation’s mission.


  • 1–2 years experience in videography, preferably with DSLR or Digital Cinema cameras. 
  • 1–2 years experience shooting, lighting, and editing subjects
  • 1–2 years experience with Final Cut Pro or a comparable non‐linear editing suite
  • Experience with audio engineering relevant to videography, including use of multiple audio sources
  • Experience with basic motion graphics
  • Experience posting videos to Youtube

  • Primary responsibility for the QuakerSpeak project, including:
    • Researching market opportunities for video content
    • Planning, arranging, and executing video shoots to capture footage for videos
    • Editing and post‐production of video content
    • Posting of videos to distribution platforms including Youtube, Facebook, the QuakerSpeak​.com website
    • Monitor and moderate public forums regarding QuakerSpeak videos
    • Preparing transcripts and metadata for produced videos
    • Maintaining video, photo, audio, and computer equipment necessary for the production of the project
    • Organizing data from audio and video footage, finished videos, and ancillary content for secure archiving and efficient retrieval
    • Updating the QuakerSpeak website and social media accounts
    • Working with advertising and marketing manager to ensure a consistent, effective weekly newsletter
  • Helps to plan funding applications and develop partnerships with outside organizations on collaborative video production or sponsorships
  • As needed, creates marketing or fundraising‐related videos for Friends Publishing Corporation
  • Participates in occasional public presentations about Friends Publishing Corporation and QuakerSpeak
  • Participates in regular Friends Publishing Corporation staff meetings
  • Other duties as assigned


This is a full‐time exempt position based in Philadelphia. Expect travel to filming locations 6–10 times per year. Our office is in Center City close to Reading Terminal Market, Chinatown, City Hall, and Jefferson Station. Compensation includes a salary of $40,000-$50,000 depending on experience, and an excellent benefits package: 95%-employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off; sick leave; pre‐tax flexible spending accounts for medical and dependent care expenses, transit, and parking; and employer contributions to a 401(k) retirement plan.
