Peter West Nutting is a member of Vassalboro (Maine) Meeting. After 35 years of teaching German and French, he is now a freelance translator. Besides photography, his passions are gardening, hiking, winter sports, and managing his tree farm. His photographs may be viewed at www.franklintreephoto.com.
This article is about the author’s experience at the 2013 FGC Gathering leading a workshop called “Photography as a Contemplative Practice.” All photographs were taken by the workshop participants throughout the week of Gathering.
