Creemos firmemente que todos somos iguales, sin embargo, vivimos en un oc\u00e9ano de prejuicios y estamos expuestos a ellos de muchas maneras. Vivimos en medio de un racismo sist\u00e9mico y generalmente no lo notamos. Pero no podemos aprender nada si tenemos miedo de hablar de esto. Soy heterosexual y eso me otorga privilegios.    <\/p>\n<p>Pero el conocimiento espiritual es quiz\u00e1s el privilegio supremo, y es el que tiene el poder de trascender a todos los dem\u00e1s si nos permitimos ser fieles. Hay algo de Dios en todos, y el gran maestro espiritual Jesucristo ense\u00f1\u00f3 a sus seguidores a amar a Dios con fervor y a amar a sus pr\u00f3jimos como a s\u00ed mismos. A la luz de estos principios, \u00bfcu\u00e1l de nuestros innumerables privilegios resiste el escrutinio como si tuviera alguna base, en un nivel espiritual?  <\/p>\n<p>En este n\u00famero, nuestros dos editores, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.friendsjournal.org\/es\/una-educacion-en-el-turno-de-noche\/\">Martin Kelley<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.friendsjournal.org\/es\/ensenar-gratitud\/\">Jana Llewellyn<\/a>, hacen a los lectores el servicio de hablar honestamente sobre sus experiencias lidiando con los privilegios de los que disfrutan, examinando c\u00f3mo funcionan en la pr\u00e1ctica y qu\u00e9 lecciones se pueden aprender.<\/p>\n<p>En varios momentos, los cu\u00e1queros han estado en la primera l\u00ednea de la destrucci\u00f3n de privilegios. En su art\u00edculo sobre los Amigos y el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.friendsjournal.org\/quakers-culture-and-the-transforming-power-of-love\/\">poder transformador del amor<\/a>, Ellen Ross relata la historia de Edward Coxere, un artillero naval brit\u00e1nico que, tras ser convencido como cu\u00e1quero, abandona el considerable privilegio y las perspectivas de ingresos que hab\u00eda obtenido como fabricante de guerra. Ross lo describe como una \u201creorientaci\u00f3n radical\u00bb. Cu\u00e1queros como Anthony Benezet, Lucretia Mott y John Woolman trabajaron incansablemente para abolir el privilegio particularmente odioso de la esclavitud.
