Watu lazima wafahamishwe hali zinazozuia maendeleo ya kijamii. Wajibu wa kupinga ni sehemu ya matumaini ya Rustin kwamba siasa za upinzani zenye mafanikio hatimaye zitaleta mabadiliko chanya ya kijamii.
