Watafiti kadhaa wameona uhusiano kati ya matatizo ya kula na kile Simona Giordano anachokiita \u201cmaadili ya kawaida.\u201d Giordano asema pia kwamba kuna \u201cmantiki ya kiadili\u201d kwa ugonjwa wa anorexia, na adokeza kwamba kuwepo na kuenea kwa matatizo ya ulaji \u201ckutulazimisha tukubali kwamba \u2018maadili,\u2019 \u2018uadilifu,\u2019 na \u2018wema\u2019\u2014ikizingatiwa kwa uzito\u2014huenda ikasababisha madhara makubwa ya kiakili.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>Tunachopaswa kuzungumza tunapozungumzia uchaguzi wa chakula ni masuala makubwa zaidi ya kimfumo yanayohusika. Sidhani kama ni wasiwasi wetu ni nini watu wanakula. Nimesikia watu wengi\u2014Waquaker, mara nyingi\u2014wanalalamika kwamba watu wasiojiweza wanaojaribu kuwasaidia hawataki tu kupika na kula matunda na mboga mboga. Ninashuku kwamba ikiwa kweli wangeacha kuzingatia muktadha wa wengine, wangeona kwamba si suala la kujifunza tu jinsi ya kupika au kupata vyakula vibichi. Wangepata wapi wakati\u2014sembuse nguvu\u2014wakati wanakandamizwa katika mwili na roho na ubepari?    <\/p>\n<p>Wengi wa maadili yetu ya chakula, kwa watu wengi, haiwezekani kuishi kulingana na mfumo wetu wa sasa.
