Larry Ingle was recently awarded the Friends Historical Association’s Kenneth Carroll Award for his article “Lessons from Quaker History: What’s an Historian to Say about Whittaker Chambers and Clarence Pickett?” in Quaker History. A member of Chattanooga (Tenn.) Meeting, he is retired from the History Department of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
