Buy on FJ Amazon StoreThe background of this novel comes from Daniel Turner’s earlier novel, Twillinger’s Voyage. Several hundred years in the future, different life forms come into contact and develop relationships in the business of mining for ice. Some of them have long ago infiltrated the civilization of the other and await the time to come forth. Readers must wait to find out if it is, indeed, a friendly invasion or an alien attack. Likeable characters and a good narrative style and pace make this novel inviting. Turner says, “This is a Quaker book . . . but that may not be obvious until the very end!”
