Student Voices: "Under your administration, many of my friend’s families would be deported, never to be seen again. I can assure you that while they may not be citizens, they are every bit as much patriotic Americans, no different from me. And in light of this, I urge you to do what is beneficial for all Americans who call this country home."

Student Voices: "About two years ago, I visited the Statue of Liberty for the first time. I can recall being at Ellis Island with my family where we looked up my great-great-grandpa’s name from all those who immigrated to the United States in 1911. Mr. President, those immigrants made America great."

Student Voices: "Consider the importance of family values and the future of the children, and help them grow by educating them without discrimination and racism. Don’t construct the big wall to divide Latinos from people in the United States, no matter what their color or where we come from."

Student Voices: "However, for someone who promises that “America now will be heard,” perhaps it’s time to listen to everyone, not just your supporters. There was a time where there were such things as liberal Republicans and conservative Democrats, and people managed to cooperate to move the country forward."

Student Voices: "Though many families do enter the United States illegally, there should be a process for them to correct their mistake in a faster way than is available now. I believe that instead of coming in with drugs and crime, they are coming in with hope, faith, and wonder."

Student Voices: "Many other people that have worked for you have similar stories. If you stop immigration you’re not going to have as many people to build your hotels. I wouldn’t try to stop immigration if I were president; I’d try to make it easier."

Student Voices: "Feminism is as a matter of principle. You will learn that respecting women is the right thing to do. By calling women fat and talking about their bodies, you are shaming them, which is mean spirited and very inappropriate."

Student Voices: "My name is Juliet Ramey-Lariviere. I am many things: I am a woman, a friend, an ally, a Chinese immigrant, and a proud member of a multiracial family. I was adopted when I was a baby, and my parents gave me a sense of security and belonging, my white parents."
