This lovely picture book introduces young readers and listeners to the Passover holiday and Seder. It is also the story of a stray cat and how he gains a home, family, and name as part of the holiday celebration. The author’s note provides additional information about Passover and elements of the Passover Seder. If you have friends, neighbors, or relatives of the Jewish faith, this book would be a particularly useful introduction for your children. It would be especially helpful if your family has been invited to attend a Seder. It could also be a great book to share with a First-day school class. I recommend adding this attractive and fun book to your meeting library.
