Children from Across the Way

Blaming the victim
pundits pound
on the pavement
against those others
who seek stability
Attacking the problem
by creating more problems
the architects of despair
diligently distance themselves
from reality
Policies that pay off
for the plutocrats
erode the foundations of freedom
The children
desperate and discarded
seek refuge in the yard
of their oppressor
who detains them
