Listening for God

A human Greenbank
waits in long silence
for the first word.

Fox said it never stopped.
Jaynes said right brain
spoke to left.

We wait listening
for a still small voice
(some claim to have heard before)

comes down
like a feather
like a snowflake
like a dandelion seed]
