A World War II soldier and POW shares hope for the future.

George Rubin is a member of Medford (N.J.) Meeting, a retired podiatrist, and has served as clerk for New York Yearly Meeting, Medford Meeting, and American Friends Service Committee’s New York regional office. He writes for the Medford Leas literary publication, is active with many Quaker organizations, and enjoys working with youth.

Vanessa Julye is the nurturing ministries coordinator for Friends General Conference’s Ministry on Racism and Youth Ministries Programs. A member of Central Philadelphia (Pa.) Meeting and the Haverford College Corporation, Vanessa has published numerous articles and pamphlets and serves as a guest speaker for many Friends meetings. Vanessa meets with Friends of Color throughout the world.
