Leadings of the Spirit
A member of Cape Eastern Meeting in South Africa, Rommel Roberts has been an activist in various human rights, development, and nonviolent election campaigns. Through his work with Bishop Tutu, he traveled internationally among Friends and others to develop anti-apartheid support. He is the author of Seeds of Peace.
Robin Roberts, originally from California, is involved with rural and township development work, focused especially on Black youth and women. She and Rommel have fostered two girls for the past seven years. She is an internationally known artist.
Lark Worth of Kendal Meeting in Kennett Square, Pa., met Rommel in 1987 when he toured Philadelphia-area meetings and Quaker schools with the challenging question: âHow do we love in the face of fear and hate?â
